It's Always a Good Time For Bucket Lists

It's important to have a bucket list. Never mind they all read more or less the same. Allows  you to re-connect with how far you've come and how much ground there still remains to be covered in the short time you have here. Exchanging notes with others can make you realize you haven't even started living but again, different strokes for different folks. Just like Ms. Nelly Furtado, I like keeping mine short and simple focussing more on life's finer minutiae rather than taking potshots at spills and thrills from paragliding, bungee jumping or swimming with the dolphins. That I am only an arm chair adventure enthusiast also isn't helping much :) But hey, presto! here's  something  from Ms. Furtado's stables that goes straight to my Heart (hope you enjoy it too!) : A lover's first embrace, the first tender kiss or hug you had with him or memory of his first sighting are all things tangible and mean slightly more to me than doing things terribly daring or visiting remarkable places and experiencing things way out of the ordinary. Also on my bucket list  is a cruise from Vancouver to Alaska, and a week spent in the company of red tulips of Amsterdam but surely, these things cannot or should not mean half as much to me as the knowledge that I am being loved and cared for, and have immense love to give back to. I think it's part of learning to not miss the wood for the tree and getting the bigger picture. Suddenly,  I realize all this while I have been barking up the wrong tree so that what I find today on top of my bucket list is a want of courage to pick up that phone and call everyone I truly love and cherish, and let them know that I love them and that they mean so much to me and in so many words.

The one thing the loss of my grandparents has taught me is to appreciate the power and soothing calm of touch and getting physical with people we love; it's okay to hold hands in public, or to hug your parents and hold them tight or even pull someone's cheek, with their full consent of course :)
Trust me, it is very humbling and not necessarily a Gay process.
Rest assured; tis a straight deal.
