Affairs Of The Mind
Confused
A state of mind I choose to take refuge in. Should I / shouldn’t I be picking up a book or reading its e-version instead? Should I be indulging a Marcel Proust or a Kamala Das? Should I be chatting up strangers on the net or meeting up friends in real time ? Should I blast music on my Bang&Oleufsen system or plug in to the i-Pod? Should I be dropping a line to my old aunt via e-mail or keeping it short and crisp by sending her an SMS? Should I be preparing for the CAT or the GMAT? Should I be learning how to read and write Latin or Sanskrit? Should I be holidaying in New Zealand or Peru? Should I be drinking New World wine or Old world, or should I give up drinking?
Should I be staying put as a gay individual or tapping into my latent heterosexuality ? Should I be staying single or getting hitched? Should I be starting my own family or choosing to remain barren? Should I be doing some homework or wasting time staring into the oblivion ? Aah, talk about life leaving us spoilt for choice.
Voices
Need to start thinking a change of job only I can’t find it in me to put in the papers.Maybe I need to just hang in there a while longer. Or maybe enough is enough and the time haz come. Rising from the ashes the Confusion bird is slowly sticking its ugly neck out again. I should be reading more of Confuscius for the Confused State of my Mind.
Paranoia
Is it me or is it them? Of late, everyone who is in my orbit seems to know what’s best for me except they don’t seem to want to let me in on what I think is good for Me.Evil.
Secrets
Dark secrets I like to worship tucked neatly into hallowed crevices of my mind where my thoughts my emotions my feelings are truly mine and mine alone. No judgement allowed phulease! Hey, isn’t this anti-thesis to the very nature of the post?
Pssst… it will be our little secret; you didn’t notice.
Taming of the Lust
What can I say of Master Shakespeare other than he gave us more than catch phrases and euphemisms? On issues of taming of the wild spirit I am beginning to feel a ventilated coffin myself. Will allow you a peekaboo into my compendium of “lustable inventories”, as I like calling them. There is not a cat in hell’s chance I might someday succeed turning this fantasy into reality but have long since made peace with that. All one can do really is hope to end up with the right regrets.

Mind it these are only the hors d’oeuvres. You can’t ave them all. No, I absolutely forbid that :) Wait some more for the entrees and dessert in future postings.
On that note a Gay (as in Happy) New Year 2009 everyone :) :) :)
